– The validity of ordinary passports is regulated as follows:

  • Firstly, Ordinary passports issued to persons aged full 14 years or older are valid for 10 years; and are not renewable;
  • Secondly, Ordinary passports issued to persons under 14 years of age are valid for 5 years and are not renewable;
  • Thirdly, Ordinary passports issued under shortened procedures are valid for no more than 12 months; and not extended.
