What is a Korean Marriage Visa?
Currently, the Korean visa for marriage purposes is F-6-1. This is a visa issued to foreigners who have completed marriage procedures with Koreans in accordance with the laws of the two countries and intend to live in Korea.
What does a Korean marriage visa application include?
In the application for a Korean marriage visa, there are four types:

Records of foreign citizens

Birth certificate (Translated into English (or Korean) judicial notarized, including the back side (if any).

For Korean citizens
Invitation letter (Original according to the Consulate’s form, stamped (no need to notarize)
Also Certificate of international marriage funding (Original, made according to the Consulate form, signed by Korean husband/wife, no need to notarize)
Marriage certificate (original, issued at the People’s Committee of the commune, ward in Korea, or by internet)
Family relationship certificate (original, issued at the People’s Committee of communes, wards in Korea, or by internet)
Basic certificate (original, issued at the People’s Committee of communes, wards in Korea, or by internet)
Letter of guarantee (original, made according to the Consulate’s form, specifying the guarantee period (minimum 2 years, maximum 4 years), Korean husband’s signature, stamp, no need to notarize)
Certificate of seal (original, issued at the People’s Committee of the commune or ward in Korea, or by internet)
Certificate of international marriage program (Issued by the Immigration Department, valid for at least 5 years from the date of application)
Health certificate (original)
Criminal record (Original, issued by the Korean Police Service) is used to apply for marriage and includes a deleted judicial history.
Proof of residency
Original copy of residence registration certificate
House documents, house rental contract of husband (or parents of husband)
The addresses of the above 03 documents must be consistent and must be in the name of the owner or his or her parents or siblings, or the place where the house is rented.
Papers proving financial and professional capacity (required + documents for subjects)
Income certificate (tax office) – required
Credit information inquiry form (issued by the banking association) – required
Employees: Certificate of employee, copy of business license of that company.
People with business income: Business registration license, farming papers, certificate of agricultural product trading.
Other earners: Proof of income source, details of banking transactions, social insurance.
How long does it take to apply for a Korean marriage visa?
Application processing time: 31 working days (about 5 weeks) including the day of receipt (excluding weekends and holidays). Thus, applying for a Korean marriage visa takes about 1 month to be the shortest
